Member of the National Notary Association (NNA)

A Notary Public is a public official commissioned by a state government to serve as an impartial witness in taking acknowledgments, administering oaths
and affirmations, and performing other
acts authorized by state law.
The primary purpose of a Notary Public is
to deter fraud by verifying the identity of signers, their willingness to sign
documents, and their awareness of the documents' contents.

A Notary Signing Agent (NSA) is a commissioned notary public who has received specialized training to guide clients through loan document signings. NSAs perform traditional notarial duties along with more specialized tasks related to real estate transactions.
Lenders and title companies hire Signing Agents as independent contractors to assist in the last step of the loan process, enabling lenders to fund the loan.
